Shrine of the 36 Saints

November 2008 - February 2009

The volunteers worked on their 18th project at the St Andrieskerk in Antwerp.

The volunteers had been asked to clean the Silver Shrine of the 36 Saints, because the shrine had to go to the exhibition “De hemel in tegenlicht” in Mechelen for the commemoration of 450 years of the Archbishopric.

This project had to be done under a lot of time pressure and Patrick Storme, silver expert, was not entirely happy with it. He gave us the necessary instructions at the start and did some follow up.

The work was ready in time for the move to the exhibition and the volunteers received free entry to the exhibition with audio guide in exchange for the work done.

The project was also published in the Newsletter of the St Andrew church.
